2016年10月21日，埃及经济部长候选人、中央银行评估专家、经济法庭主审法官、非洲阿拉伯联合发展促贸会经济主席哈马达博士一行来访我会，郭玉琨专职执行会长会见了来宾并介绍了我会的基本情况，哈马达博士了解了商会的发展历程和现阶段的规模实力后表示由衷赞叹，他表示埃及的经济社会发展很需要商会这样的平台来开展资源整合，现阶段国内的发展方向和重点合作项目与商会对接有很强的可行性，埃及政府将为中国的投资者制定优厚的政策，广东省商业联合会将是首选的合作伙伴。此后，双方还就文化交流、经贸合作等方面交换了意见，拟签订战略合作协议，建立战略合作伙伴关系开展合作。
